What the hell was I thinking?!

Do you want to know what the hell I was thinking?

I apparently thought it was a good idea to make a pastry dough, on a day that is peaking over 100 degrees, and no access to a food processor.


As of now, this is seeming like a horrible idea... but I'll let you know just how bad of an idea it was when I actually finish the Strawberry Galette I'm making for Jon's birthday tonight...

I'm going without the fried basil and the cream, I am however going to throw a few slivers of fresh basil over the top after it has cooked and cooled.
